Dr. Renny Indrawati is an academic and researcher in the field of food technology. For over a decade, she has worked as a researcher at a university-based center of excellence, where she has led research and development projects focused on natural pigments that meet international standards. Her work explores the role of chlorophyll and carotenoids in food systems, covering eco-friendly extraction methods, analytical techniques, encapsulation, bioactivity, stability, and consumer acceptance studies. She also pioneers sustainable technologies for inactivating foodborne pathogens through photodynamic therapy, utilizing chlorophyll derivatives from food waste as natural photosensitizers.

Her consistent research track record has earned her trust and recognition through various competitive and prestigious national research grant schemes, both as a team member and as a principal investigator. Her work has been published in numerous reputable international journals and presented at high-profile scientific forums both in Indonesia and abroad. She has also received multiple best presenter awards at academic conferences, highlighting the quality of her presentations and the relevance of her research topics in the field of food technology. In addition to her cross-disciplinary collaborations, she actively mentors student creativity competitions at national and international levels, and engages in community service projects that promote the use of local ingredients, sustainable technologies, and healthy food education.
